Life in the fast lane

Life In The Fast Lane

A slight living upgrade is what I like to call my current situation. I am moving out of the "Hart Hotel" and moving into my very first house in High River, Alberta. Yes, this might sound crazy for a gypsy to say, but I bought a house. The horse trailer was nice and all, but I was a bit sick of living out of rubber maid containers, and I think my parents might have been a bit sick of all my things scattered throughout their apartment. So if someone is wondering how to go about buying their first house and are completely confused at lawyer fee's and how you can't just use your Canadian Tire money then I can't help them. This was a huge confusing department for me, with this being my first home and all. I looked at 8 different houses in what I thought was my price range, which I don't even know how I gave myself that amount it just seemed about right. After 6 houses I was over house shopping and on the 8th house I bought it. It's a cool bungalow with a deck and fenced in backyard for Piper, aka, my "fur baby". If you missed that blog you might want to check it out.

This does not mean I am going to be chained to the house with the mortgage payments and taxes I'm taking on, I have learned from some close friends if you work hard you can still have plenty of play time. I may not be spending those 4 months in Arizona every winter roping and soaking up a tan or 3 months in the Northwest Territories, but I can definitely spend a few weeks here and there traveling. Life is what you make it, and if you have been following my blogs since I first started in October you can tell this wasn't a planned move. Just over here enjoying my last year in my 20's
