Not your grandma's Brussel sprouts

Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Bacon

Ingredients 1 pound brussels sprouts 2 to 6 cloves garlic 2 slices bacon 3 Tbsp Avocado Oil 1 teaspoon fine sea salt Directions Preheat an oven to 375°F. While the oven heats, cut off and discard the stem ends of the brussels sprouts. Cut larger sprouts in half, if you like. . Place brussel sprouts in large mixing bowl and coat with sea salt and avocado oil

. Cook bacon, you can use some of the bacon grease on the brussel sprouts as well. Cut the bacon into small pieces; scatter over the brussels sprouts. Put prepared brussels on a large cookie sheet that is lined with parchment paper or a large roasting pan.

. Peel garlic cloves and cut them into two to four pieces each. Scatter the garlic over the brussels sprouts.

. Roast until brussels sprouts and garlic are tender and browned 20 to 30 minutes.

. Taste and sprinkle with more salt if needed (some bacon is saltier than other bacon). Serve the brussels sprouts hot.
